grace (2023)

grace is an independently produced coming-of-age road movie set against the desolate backdrop of remote russian outskirts. filmed just before the russian invasion of ukraine, the film captures the country in a state of deep decay and degradation. the design and promotional materials are intended to amplify the inner world of the heroine and underscore the small scale [lowercase] and fragility of its characters against an unyielding and indifferent reality.
the film premiered at the 2023 cannes film festival and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
